Features

SWIR

  • Taking image wavelength from 400nm to 1,700nm is available with just one camera unit
  • IMX990 1/2-inch type (8.2 mm diagonal) approx. 1.34 effective megapixel SWIR image sensor
  • IMX991 1/4-inch type (4.1 mm diagonal) approx. 0.34 effective megapixel SWIR image sensor
  • The camera with SenSWIR technology is compatible both with the SWIR spectrum and a wide band of 400 to 1,700nm wavelengths, which includes the visible light spectrum. Inspections that previously required two cameras, one for visible light imaging and the other for SWIR, can now be carried out with one that integrates both functions.

The OMRON SENTECH camera

The OMRON SENTECH camera has a special heat dissipation design so that it can operate stably even with natural cooling using the heat dissipation of the individual camera without using air cooling or water cooling. The special heat sink at the tip of the camera prevents heat from being trapped and helps to dissipate heat efficiently, and the heat dissipation block in the centre of the individual has a mechanism to evenly dissipate heat from the element. *The note of <patent pending / patented> indicates that the patent is pending or patented in Japan. (As of May 2022)

Application

It makes possible to perform stable inspections that were difficult with visible light cameras by combining the sensitivity characteristics of IMX990 and IMX991 sensors with the external illumination wavelength

GigE Vision

  • GigE Vision is an interface standard introduced in 2006 that provides a framework for transmitting high-speed video and related control data over Ethernet networks
  • GigE POE or Power over Ethernet describes any of several standardized or ad-hoc systems which pass electrical power along with data on Ethernet cabling. This allows a single cable to provide both data connection and electrical power to devices such as wireless access points or IP cameras. Power may be carried on the same conductors as the data, or it may be carried on dedicated conductors in the same cable.
  • Image resolution is the detail an image holds and this term applies to raster digital images, film images, and other types of images. Higher resolution means more image detail. Image resolution can be measured in various ways. Basically, resolution quantifies how close lines can be to each other and still be visibly resolved. Resolution units can be tied to physical sizes (e.g. lines per mm, lines per inch), to the overall size of a picture (lines per picture height, also known simply as lines, TV lines, or TVL), or to angular subtenant.

HD-SDI Output Color Camera

  • High-definition video is video of higher resolution than is standard. While there is no specific meaning for high-definition, generally any video image with more than 480 horizontal lines (North America) or 570 lines (Europe) is considered high-definition.
  • Signal Document Interface (SDI) In graphical user interfaces, a single document interface or SDI is a method of organizing graphical user interface applications into individual windows that the operating system's window manager handles separately. This contrasts with a multiple document interface, in which a single parent window is used to contain multiple nested child windows, with only the parent window having a menu or tool bar.
  • Often in single document interfaces, each window is represented as an individual entry in the operating system's task bar or manager. Applications which allow the editing of more than one document at a time, e.g. word processors, may therefore give the user the impression that more than one instance of an application is open.

USB3 Compact CMOS Cameras

  • Universal Serial Bus (USB) is an industry standard developed in the mid-1990s that defines the cables, connectors and communications protocols used in a bus for connection, communication and power supply between computers and electronic devices. USB has effectively replaced a variety of earlier interfaces, such as serial and parallel ports, as well as separate power chargers for portable devices.
  • USB 3.0 was released in November 2008. The standard defines a new "SuperSpeed" mode with a signalling speed of 5 Gbit/s and a usable data rate of up to 4 Gbit/s. USB 3.0 reduces the time required for data transmission, thereby reducing power consumption, and is backwards compatible with USB 2.0.
  • The USB3 Vision interface is based on the standard USB 3.0 interface and uses USB 3.0 ports that will soon be standard on most PCs (with Windows 7 service pack and Windows 8 native support expected soon). Components from different manufacturers will easily communicate with each other.
  • Complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor (CMOS) is a technology for constructing integrated circuits which used in microprocessors, microcontrollers, static RAM, and other digital logic circuits. Two important characteristics of CMOS devices are high noise immunity and low static power consumption. CMOS also allows a high density of logic functions on a chip. It was primarily for this reason that CMOS became the most used technology to be implemented in VLSI chips.

High speed CMOS Camera Link Cameras

  • Camera Link is a serial communication protocol standard designed for computer vision applications based on the National Semiconductor interface Channel-link. It was designed for the purpose of standardizing scientific and industrial video products including cameras, cables and frame grabbers.
  • Camera Link uses one to three Channel-link transceiver chips with four links at 7 serial bits each. At a minimum, Camera Link uses 28 bits to represent up to 24 bits of pixel data and 3 bits for video sync signals, leaving one spare bit.
  • The camera link standard calls for these 28 bits to be transmitted over 4 serialized differential pairs with a serialization factor of 7. The parallel data clock is transmitted with the data.

DVI Output Color Camera

  • Digital Visual Interface (DVI) is a video display interface developed by the Digital Display Working Group (DDWG). The digital interface is used to connect a video source to a display device, such as a computer monitor.
  • The interface is designed to transmit uncompressed digital video and can be configured to support multiple modes such as DVI-D (digital only), DVI-A (analog only), or DVI-I (digital and analog).
  • Featuring support for analog connections as well, the DVI specification provides optional compatibility with the VGA interface. This compatibility along with other advantages led to widespread acceptance in the PC industry over other competing digital standards such as Plug and Display (P&D) and Digital Flat Panel (DFP).

CoaXPress Cameras

  • CoaXPress (CXP) is an asymmetric high speed serial communication standard over coaxial cable. The most common application is to interface cameras to computers (via frame grabbers) on applications (such as machine vision) which involve automated acquisition and analysis of images.
