In the logistics and warehouse industry, optimal lineside replenishment is essential for improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Manual operations in these tasks can cause ergonomic issues and safety risks for operators. Automated solutions are critical to streamlining these processes and enhancing productivity.

Challenge

Logistics and warehouse operations face significant challenges with manual lineside replenishment. These tasks are often not ergonomic, leading to potential safety issues for operators.

Additionally, manual processes can cause delays, resulting in waiting times for machines and the accumulation of intermediate stock.

These inefficiencies ultimately hinder Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), leading to higher operational costs and lower productivity.

Solution

Our collaborative robots (cobots) are designed to address these challenges by improving Line Side Replenishment (LSR). Cobots can pick packaging consumables, such as cartons, from one position and place them directly onto conveyors or into packaging machines, reducing or eliminating manual unloading.

Other solutions include SCARA for loading bottles or containers and high-speed parallel robots for orienting and aligning items.

By integrating OMRON's robotic solutions, you can enhance efficiency, improve safety, and allow your workforce to focus on more strategic activities, thereby optimizing your logistics and material feeding processes.

Efficient material feeding with OMRON cobots

Our collaborative robots enhance material feeding processes in logistics and warehouses.

Key highlights include:

  • Automated Carton Loading: Cobots pick cartons from a pallet and place them directly into a case erector machine, minimizing manual handling.
  • Improved Ergonomics and Safety: By automating repetitive tasks, we reduce the ergonomic strain and safety risks for operators.
  • Efficiency: Our solutions help avoid machine downtime and intermediate stock, improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
