Omron and RS Components consolidate strategic partnership

New European agreement strengthens automation and control offering
Omron Europe B.V. (Industrial Automation Business) and RS Components (RS), the trading brand of Electrocomponents plc (LSE:ECM), the world’s leading high service distributor of electronics and maintenance products, have reinforced their strategic partnership with a new European agreement. This covers all markets in Europe, and the wider EMEA area including South Africa, and strengthens the RS offer in the automation and control sector.
The agreement incorporates every aspect of the partnership between Omron and RS, including sales and marketing support, stock management and continuous innovative product range development. This will facilitate easier collaboration, give more focus to the implementation of joint activities, and enable the two companies to proactively drive expansion of the product and service portfolio available to European customers.
Significantly, the agreement will enable RS to better meet its customers’ needs by providing the best possible prices and a higher level of product availability across our industrial automation range. This includes switching, safety, and control components, programmable logic controllers, sensors, motion controllers, drives and HMI.
