Power switching down to size with J7KNU

The new J7KNU contactor, which is the smallest device of its type and rating currently available anywhere in Europe, is ideally suited for a wide range of applications where a compact, dependable and easy-to-use power switching solution is needed.

Although it measures only 35.5 x 35.5 x 33 mm, the J7KNU contactor has a 2.2 kW AC3 rating and is available in three- and four-pole versions with AC or DC coils and as reversing contactor with mechanical interlock.

Typical applications for the new contactors include interfacing electronic systems with power circuitry, control of motors in washing machines and similar appliances, motor control for security barriers and gates, fan control in air-conditioning installations and packaging machines. A full 3 mm contact opening enhances the safety and reliability of the contactors and, to facilitate use in motor control applications, they can be supplied as interlocked pairs mounted on a single base.

Installation of J7KNU contactors is straightforward as they are designed to fit 15 mm DIN rails in order to be available also small distribution boxes, but the J75KN snap-on adapter make the J7KNU suitable also for the standard 35mm DIN rail. They also include large screw clamp terminals that allow wiring to be carried out easily and quickly eliminating the frustration of working with the tiny terminals.

To conclude, J7KNU contactors have an exceptionally wide operating temperature range of – 40 ºC to +60 ºC, making them a dependable choice for use in even the most challenging of environments.
