OMRON is now seeking a highly motivated Learning Business Partner to join our Employee Development Team, part of the OMRON headquarters in Hoofddorp, The Netherlands.

In 2014 Omron Europe established a Learning Department at the headquarters in Hoofddorp. The goal of our department is to centralize training and development of our employees throughout Europe Middle East & Africa (EMEA), for the business unit Industrial Automation Business.

As a Learning Department, we aim to create more efficiency in organizing training and aligning the training plans with our company strategy for the EMEA region.
We support the business with Non-technical learning solutions, such as blended training initiatives mainly focused on sales, talent development, and leadership.
Our objective is to add value to the business by designing, coordinating, and facilitating practical learning programs that enable learners to transfer the learning to the daily work environment effectively.
Also, we collaborate directly with HR colleagues in the EMEA region, with (sr.) management members, training facilitators and external vendors.


You will act as a business partner for management by mapping training needs throughout EMEA, and you will analyze, design and develop learning solutions together with direct colleagues, business partners and training vendors;

You will contribute to implementing a learning framework and executing the learning strategy;

You will provide learning support to local EMEA HR colleagues and provide support related to the coordination of local training plans;

Part of your job is to manage the administrative and logistics support related to training. Coordination of virtual- and classroom sessions and act as a lead-related to e-learning development projects.


  • Interact with business stakeholders regularly to identify training needs and propose, execute and evaluate training solutions;
  • Coordination and facilitation of virtual training sessions and on-the-job learning events;
  • Provide regular learning updates to business stakeholders through virtual sessions, learning platform and email;
  • Learning Management System Administration for the EMEA region;
  • Organize EMEA Onboarding program for new employees;
  • Collaborate with facilitators, training providers, locations and also related invoice handling;
  • You register the training events and training evaluations;

Education / Work Experience

  • Bachelor level in HRM, Business Administration, Education or equivalent
  • Experience related to Employee Development / Learning acting as, e.g. Training Consultant or Advisor

Required Skills / Experience

  • Experience in HR or Training/Learning in an international organization;
  • Proficient in English is an absolute must;
  • Business and service-oriented;
  • Self-starter, taking the initiative and pro-active approach;
  • Excellent organizing skills, hands-on mentality, accuracy and attention to detail are a must;
  • Solid communication skills at all levels and experience related to working with different nationalities and cultures;
  • Trustworthy and reliable in handling confidential information;
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office, MS Teams and other standard software programs;
  • Experience in working with a Learning Management System (SAP is preferable);
  • Experience in e-learning design and development is nice to have.
