Demand Planner

As Demand Planner, you create & maintain the (statistical) Sales Forecast in JDE for your portfolio using historic sales, financial budget / forecast, and all other available data sources. Both for regular products, new product introductions and phase in of upgraded products.

About this role

Working together as a team with Product Marketing, National Sales Organizations and Factories worldwide, your aim is to guarantee product availability, whilst minimizing the risk of obsolete stock.

You set-up and maintain the product item master data for planning purposes to ensure this information is up to date. You analyse regularly what items should be (de) stocked to manage gross inventory value and service level in line with set targets. As a professional you bring a pro-active, Plan-Do-Check-Act mindset, and can apply both a customer and business perspective.

What will you do

  • Create & maintain the (statistical) Sales Forecast for future Supply Plans by collaborating with the various stakeholders and by using the appropriate forecast tools. For the products in your portfolio, in line with inventory value- & service level targets
  • Set-up, control and maintain the process and tools for creation of periodic stock classification and safety stock calculation from demand perspective
  • Guarantee optimal availability of goods on stock to serve Customers according to their expected service levels, and control inventory aging and obsolescence
  • Hold effective business reviews with Product Marketing, key Factories and Regional DC regularly, focused on improving supply performance and sharing sales trends & constraints
  • Partner with Product Marketing to create optimal Forecast/Supply plans for new product introductions and promotions
  • Execute Forecast / Supply analyses, identify & initiate improvements to the process to meet & exceed departmental & organizational goals & KPI’s
  • Lead and participate in SCM process improvement projects

What are we looking for?

  • Higher Vocational Education (HBO(+)) in Logistics, or equivalent based on relevant knowledge and experience
  • SCM knowledge based on relevant experience in a similar (global) organisation
  • Proven experience with ERP systems, demand planning & forecasting systems, Data Warehouse Reporting Tools and advanced Excel knowledge
  • Proactive and strong analytical & problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and able to build effective working relationships with different levels and departments within the organisation, and at key suppliers
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English language
