Modular I/O
The SmartSlice I/O system brings intelligence in its most compact form. Mix digital, analog and special I/O units to build exactly the DeviceNet or PROFIBUS-DP slaves you need. Data pre-processing, diagnostics and preventive maintenance functions are integrated in every individual I/O module, allowing you to reduce PLC programming, speed up machine troubleshooting, and prevent machine downtime. Data backup and restore functions help to make hot-swapping I/O units fast and foolproof.
>>
Compact I/O
Compact remote I/O units combine a fixed number of I/O points in a space-saving IP20 housing. Built-in smart monitoring functions for voltage level, broken wire, actuator and cycle time will assist in planning preventive maintenance for machines and eliminating costly downtime. Smart Slaves are available for the open EtherCAT, DeviceNet and CompoNet networks, and Omron’s CompoBus/S offers a more simple and cost-efficient solution.
>>
Field I/O
Available in both open DeviceNet and proprietary CompoBus/S versions, IP67 I/O terminals can be mounted in harsh environmental conditions. DRT2 Smart I/O units provide intelligent diagnostics and preventive maintenance functions in an oil- and welding spatter-resistant housing. For less severe conditions, CompoNet slaves with IP54 protection offer an efficient alternative.
>>
Wireless I/O
Wireless I/Os are the solution for applications where cables are not suitable to be used, such as cranes, AGVs and robots. In those cases wireless I/Os are used to transfer status and control information.
