New light curtains in robust housing introduced

Omron has introduced two new series of light curtains - the detection light curtain F3ET2 and the measuring light curtain F3EM2.

The detection light curtain F3ET2 provides reliable area monitoring, while the measuring light curtain F3EM2 is designed for easy height and profile measurement with analog output signal or serial output. The serial output model can either transmit the status of every single beam or offer several output modes to adapt the output data to the given application making profile measurement fast and easy.

All the functions such as Light-on/Dark-on setting, signal inversion or baud rate can simply be set by dip-switches with no need for external controllers or PC-interfaces.

Both families are built into a robust aluminum housing meeting requirements for harsh industrial environments. There are 5mm and 18mm lens pitch (resolution) and sizes from 150mm to 2100mm available. Due to optical synchronization there is no need for additional wiring.
