2D code on IC chips decoding

For data tracing of IC's, each IC package can be marked with a 2D code using a laser marker. The code has to be decoded at quite a high reading rate, but various mechanical variables, such as the marking condition, positioning of packages, the lighting conditions and other environmental aspects in the production line make stable decoding difficult. Furthermore, it takes time for setting-up when a changeover takes place or some conditions are changed.

Omron offers a 2D code reader with a dedicated algorithm. The intelligent functions can eliminate the effects of the marking condition, ambient light etc. Even the direct marked code can be read with an excellent reading rate. A one-touch teaching function allows you to set reading parameters automatically.  

The high reading rate improves throughput, while easy setting-up saves time during changeovers.
